3rd “Health of Poles” 2021 Congress
The Committee of Rehabilitation, Physical Education and Social Intergation of the Polish Academy of Sciences is once again organizing sessions during the “Health of Poles” 2021 Congress. This year's Congress will be held on 25-26 October 2021. KRKFiIS PAN is preparing three sessions attended by members of the Committee and invited guests.

On On April 9, 2021, a letter of support was sent to the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the letter, members of KRKFiIS PAN expressed their understanding and support for the reservations presented in the letter of the President of April 6, 2021 as well as expressed their disapproval of the plans to create the National Copernican Program.
Meeting of the Presidium of KRKFiIS PAN No. 3/2021

The meeting was called to formulate the Committee's position on the plans to establish the National Copernican Program and to send a letter to the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, prof. dr hab. Jerzy Duszyński with support for the reservations presented in the letter of April 6, 2021
During the meeting, a preliminary version of the position was presented and it was agreed that the letter would be sent to the members of the Presidium of KRKFiIS PAN for comments. The final version of the position will be sent to all Committee members to vote on its support.

- Discussion of the e-textbook proposal for comprehensive rehabilitation after Covid-19 (initial proposals of chapters and co-authors of the manual).
Meeting at the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport
On March 9, 2021, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport in the office of Minister Prof. dr hab. Piotr Gliński. The meeting was attended by: prof. dr hab. n.med. Tomasz Zdrojewski - member of the presidium of the Public Health Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, prof. dr hab. Wiesław Osiński - vice-chairman of the Committee of Rehabilitation, Physical Education and Social Intergation of the Polish Academy of Sciences and dr hab. n.med. Grzegorz Juszczyk - director of the Institute of Public Health - National Institute of Hygiene in Warsaw, prof. dr hab. Wojciech Drygas, MD, PhD.
During the meeting, the conclusions from the report of the Public Health Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, entitled "Insufficient level of physical activity in Poland as a threat to public health" (2021) were discussed. Then, the problems of the provisions adopted in the current "Act on Sports" of June 25, 2010, which significantly differ from the assumptions and system of values adopted in the documents of the most important international organizations (EU, UN, WHO) and in parliamentary regulations of many countries, were taken up.
Minister prof. Piotr Gliński with great kindness and exceptional interest referred to the presented proposal to develop the "National Recommendations for Physical Activity" and to introduce the necessary changes to the "Act on Sports".
